Have you encountered a policy that sounded wonderful until someone tried to implement it? A provision promise that didn’t fit the timetable? Or an educational absurdity that deserves a closer look?
The FAIL Files wants to hear from teachers, teaching assistants, SENCos, school leaders, parents, governors and everyone else navigating the system. We can’t promise to fix it. We might be able to expose the absurdity.
Your story. Our discretion.
You can tell us who you are, where you work, or where your experience took place. You can also choose to remain unnamed.
Our intention is to tell the story, not identify the people involved.
If we use your submission in an article, we will make every reasonable effort to anonymise individuals, schools and locations. This may include changing names, removing identifying details or presenting experiences in a more generalised form.
We will never deliberately publish your contact details or identity without your explicit permission.
However, some circumstances are so distinctive that individuals may still be recognisable, even when names are changed. We cannot guarantee complete anonymity. If we cannot tell a story without an unacceptable risk of identification, we will not publish it.
Please do not submit identifiable information about children, confidential pupil records or sensitive personal documents. This form is not an emergency, safeguarding or formal whistleblowing reporting route; please use the appropriate official channels for those concerns.
If you provide an email address, we may contact you to clarify your experience only if you agree to follow-up contact. Your email address is optional and will not appear in any published article.
Submitting a story does not guarantee publication. All submissions are reviewed before any editorial use. Like most website forms, this form may process technical information such as your IP address; choosing not to give your name or email does not guarantee technical anonymity.
The Tip-Off Box
Fields marked “optional” really are optional. Please do not include identifying details about pupils.
The FAIL Files: exposing the absurdity, not the people caught in it.
